Choose microphone, internal glottis, or hybrid excitation and awaken the organism. Microphone and hybrid modes may request microphone access. One root airway feeds a shared manifold, which branches into multiple complete mouths. Drag a mouth diamond left or right to change its branch-airway length and toward or away from its center line to change aperture. Cross-coupling leaks breath and resonance between adjacent mouth airways. Pressure glands inject independent pulses before the manifold, and each mouth airway has its own closable gate. Drag the purple tongue membrane along and across the curved airway for vowel position and height. Drag the front or lip airway inward for consonant constrictions, and drag blue nose gates for nasal articulation. Use the Anatomy and Articulation controls for keyboard-accessible adjustment. On the canvas, Left and Right select a mouth, Up and Down change aperture, brackets change branch length, and Enter seals or opens the selected mouth. Throughout the instrument, number keys zero through nine load mapped alien anatomy presets. Every letter A through Z selects an approximate vowel, stop, fricative, nasal, affricate, or approximant; holding a key sustains it and releasing a stop creates its burst. Holding Shift with any letter applies that letter's larger expressive mutation. Anatomy motion can make mouths, tongues, noses, and pressure sources follow Vibrato and Wobble visually without changing the sounding tract. Question mark or apostrophe plays the glottal stop. The direct stage controls adjust articulation place, aperture, and voicing while the pressure meter reports stored tract pressure. Press Escape to sever audio.
